Although every airline has different guidelines for baggage, you can safely meet all airport requirements by taking two checked bags and one carry on. The weight of the baggage will be determined by the airlines. You may want to ask this question before packing. It is a good idea to check with your departure and arrival destinations.
On international flights, the weight of your baggage may differ because of what classification you are traveling under and your airline ticket. Tourist class is generally lower than that of someone traveling in business class. The standard luggage size and weight must be followed. If the luggage has been bought from a luggage store, you should have an airline approved size and weight.
For carry-on baggage, it is better to have one bag to carry your camera, laptop, reading material, and things you buy after the checkpoint. This will limit the number of carry-on bags and not cause any confusion. A purse is considered a carry on, but most airlines will allow a purse and a carry-on bag. If you are traveling with a carry-on dog carrier, this is going to be considered your carry-on bag. You may want to share a bag with someone, so you can have all the things with you that you need.

Traveling with children at the Naples International Airport does have some special requirements. Children under the age of four and over the age of four months can travel without a parent, but you must pay for the services of an extra attendant. They will be responsible for the children. Children over the age of four can travel without a parent and will be supervised by the flight attendants.
If you have two children under the age of two, you must have two adults as well. The adults and the children must sit in different rows on the plane. This is because children under the age of two can sit on the adult's lap during the flight. The only way around this is to buy a seat for one of the children, then you can have one adult and two children under the age of two.
If you are traveling with a dog or a cat that meets the size and weight requirements set forth by the airlines, they can ride with you in the passenger compartment in a regulation carry-on pet porter. They need to have all vaccinations and documentations and be checked by the airlines veterinarian. Other sized animals can ride in the cargo area of the plane. Always check with the airlines for special guidelines on pet travel.

The security at Naples International Airport is as strict as other airports around the world. They have video cameras and other security measures enforced to make sure all passengers are safe. You will see motorized and walking patrols throughout the terminal as well as at the security checkpoints. If you follow the guidelines for passing through the checkpoints, you will have no problems.
There are four important things to remember to do at the checkpoints. You must remove coats and jackets to be checked. Place your clear one-liter bag with your liquids on the conveyor, and take laptops and other electronics out of your bag and place on the conveyor. You will need to show your boarding pass and verify any information requested. You will need to remove your shoes as they may contain metal.
If you follow these four easy steps for passing through the security checkpoints, you should be on your way. Keep in mind that underwire bras and some pants that have metal buttons will set off the alarm. It is always best to wear something with as little metal as possible. You may have to have a hand scanner check your body if this happens. You may also be selected to go into a private room if they cannot find the metal. If you have any metal in your body, inform the airport when you arrive.
