As you walk along the streets of NYC, there are many out there who are not so nice. If you carry a purse, make sure it is not on your shoulder to be snatched, but across your body. Travel in groups, ask the locals for directions, and pick up a city subway map, as this is the easiest and most economical way to travel about NYC and the boroughs. Be attentive to what is going on around you, as this may save not only your wallet, but your life as well.
Gentlemen, carry your wallets in the front pants pocket as opposed to the back. Wear comfortable shoes and make sure to pace yourself as the city can take a lot out of you.
