1. Driving Yourself to Copenhagen Airport

You will see where the highway connects to Kystvejen Coastal Road, which runs on the side of the airport. You will follow this road until you see Oeresund Motorway near Drager. You will travel this road until you come to the toll bridge called Oeresund Bridge. This bridge is the main road to the airport.

They do have meters that you can see how much they are charging you for the ride. They will load your luggage into the taxi and unload it when you arrive at your destination.

3. Communication And Money Services at Copenhagen Airport

When you need information about any services at the Copenhagen Airport, you can visit the help desk in terminals two and three. If you are looking for visitor information there is a visitor desk in terminal three. The information desk and the visitor desk can help you find out any information you need, such as concerns about transportation or places to go to for car rentals, ATM machines and driving directions to your destination.

There is a bank located at the airport in terminal two. If you need to the bureaux de change, you are going to find this service located in terminal two and three. ATM machines are located in all of the terminals at the airport. Between terminals two and three, you will find the post office if you need to mail letters or packages or buy stamps. The airport does have designated areas that have Wireless Internet and some areas have Internet connections for those who wish to connect via an Internet cable. The Internet connection ports are located in terminals two and three in designated areas. The areas are posted, or you can find this information out at the information desk. If you need to connect via an Internet cable, they do have these cables available, but they are limited.

4. Restaurants In Copenhagen Airport

The Copenhagen Airport has many little cafés, bars and restaurants to visit before your flight. You may find some bars and cafés before the security checkpoints as well as after the checkpoints. Starbucks is found before you pass the checkpoint as is Baresso Coffee and Café Globetrotter. After the security checkpoint, you will find the Asta Bar, Kokpit and Alfredo's Espresso. The Caviar House & Prunier Seafood Bar is found after the checkpoint as well.

You will find one restaurant before the checkpoint called the Ciao, but the rest of the restaurants are past the checkpoint. They have a Gino's Pasta, located in terminal three, Salmon House and the Eyecon Restaurant, which are located in terminal two. You will fine some of the fast food restaurants in terminals two and three as well.

Burger King is located in terminal three before the security checkpoint, as is McDonald's. Kitchen & Company is located in terminal two after the checkpoint and is a free style cafeteria. Steff's Place is located before and after the checkpoint, and it is a little hot dog stand. This is nice for children who just need a little something to tide them over. In terminal two, you will find a To: Go, which has hot and cold food to take with you.

5. Shopping at Copenhagen Airport

The Copenhagen Airport is known for the little shops within the different terminals. You will find shops for women such as Burberry, Ecco and Gate 88. There is a Wunderwear located in terminals two and three. There are men's shops and children's shops. For men you will find Thomas K and Cottonfield. For children, you will find a LEGO and a Teddy & Company. In terminal two and three, you will find a children's Accessorize shop.

For snacks and other conveniences, you will find a 7-Eleven, Global News & Books and a Caviar House & Punier Shop. In terminal two, they have a Merlin Music & Electronics shop for those interested in supplies for computers and Ipods. Travelers will find a Bed & Bath in terminal three and a Royal Copenhagen Gift Shop.

The majority of the shops are located after the security check except for one 7-Eleven and the Global News. Nothing you buy after you clear the security check has to be checked, but anything bought before the security check will be inspected. It is best to shop after you clear the security checks. The shops are found in terminals two and three near your departure gates as well as the restaurants and bathrooms.

6. The Copenhagen Airport Hotel

When you need somewhere to freshen up or let the kids play on a playground, the Copenhagen Airport Hotel has a sauna, fitness room and a playground for the children. You can access the hotel by terminal three. A covered hallway leads to the lobby in the hotel. You will find two restaurants and a bar for some relaxation before your plane departs. If your plane is delayed for departure, you can book a room at the airport hotel rather than traveling away from the airport.

The hotel does allow pets, and children are always welcome to visit the playground. This is just another service the airport offers to make the guests more comfortable. The dogs or cats do have to be under the weight of ten pounds and should be on a leash or in a carry on travel bag. They have cribs and high chairs for toddlers available at the concierge desk. You do need to watch your children when they are using the playground to prevent accidents.

The hotel restaurants serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a children's menu as well as adult menu's to choose from when you are dining. The restaurants in the hotel are casual dress and are generally open until 10:30 at night.

7. Security at Copenhagen Airport

There security at the Copenhagen Airport is as secure as any airport can be during these times. They have walking patrols, motorized patrols and the entire airport is fenced in for safety. The airport does have security cameras and other measures in place that you cannot see or know about for security reasons. All personnel at the airport have nametags to tell you who they are and what their specific job duty is so you know.

The new rule for liquid carry on necessities does not include lip-gloss, lipstick or solid deodorants. These are acceptable when boarding a plane in Copenhagen. Liquids have to be able to fit into a one-liter see through plastic bag in order to carry on the plane. You can carry on clothes and laptops, as well as cameras and cell phones.

If you do have shoes with metal in them, you need to take these off to be x-rayed. You will also need to send and all other electronic equipment through the x-ray machine. You should arrive at least two hours before your flight departs to make sure you have enough time to pass the checkpoints. Anything you buy after the checkpoint is exempt from the carry on rules. If you are traveling from any of the non-EU countries, you must have your animal checked by the veterinarian's office for border control. This must be done twenty-four hours before departure. The airport does handicapped accessible doors in terminal one. They are automatic and make it easier for people with disabilities to enter the airport. If you need assistance for wheelchair users you can go to gate six, and they can help you with all your needs for moving through the airport terminals easier. If you need to use an airport wheelchair, you should contact the airport ahead of time so they can have one ready for you.

If you need help getting through the airport and checkpoints, you can request a staff member to help you from check in and all the way to your departure gate. If you have your own wheelchair or even an electric wheelchair, this is going to be checked into the cargo area. You will need to use an airport wheelchair so your chair can be stored in the cargo area. When you arrive at the destination airport, they will have a wheelchair waiting for you until you pick up your chair at the baggage claim. If you prefer, a relative can go with you all the way to the departure gate, but they will have to pass through the security checks just like everyone else.
